Inpatient Dialysis Program

Lab & Radiology
Dakota Regional Medical Center has both a lab and radiology department. Outpatient referral lab orders and radiology orders are accepted. This allows you to be have your testing done in Cooperstown and the results sent where they are needed. Having both of these services on site also allows for our providers to be able to order the testing needed for your complete health care.
Outpatient Care
Outpatient care is coordinated through the Hospital and the Clinic. Some of the services provided are injections, biopsies, dressing changes, Holter monitor placement, and many other services. We also are able to provide CT scans at our location, Ultra Sounds, Mammograms and Dexa Scans. We are now offering MRI services!
Therapies
Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Respiratory Therapy are available as outpatient services through the hospital. Having these therapies available allows you to recover without having to travel for therapy. We also have a Certified Diabetic Counselor/Registered Dietician. If you have concerns about controlling your diabetes or would like to meet with our Dietician simply receive a referral from your provider.
Telemedicine
Through the power of technology you are able to have appointments electronically with your provider at other locations, without having to drive to see them. Currently we are only able to schedule these appointments with Altru providers but hope to expand this in the near future.
Emergency Services
DRMC's Emergency Room is designated a Level 5 Trauma Center. The ER is also equipped with an eEmergency system. This system is a two way video system that allows our ER provider to be linked to Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. This system gives our ER immediate access to emergency trained physicians, nurses and specialists at a moments notice.
