Duties/Responsibilities:
ï‚· Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members.
ï‚· Schedules appointments for the providers to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective use of examining and treatment rooms. Prepares a daily schedule of examinations for each provider.

ï‚· Endeavors to keep patients on schedule by reminding provider of service delays.

Job description: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Monday through Friday

The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides information pertaining to billing, coding, managed care networks, insurance carriers and reimbursement. Inputting all payments into EPIC for payment postings.
​
Will work closely with the CFO, business office manager, and business office team to aid in the daily revenue cycle for the medical center.
​
Duties/Responsibilities:
​
• Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors.
​
• Research, rectify third party denials/edits, requests for information and other related correspondence.
​
• Identify and analyze open claims.
​
• Identify and correct billing errors.
​
• Re-submit claims to insurance carriers.
​
• The Accounts Receivable Specialist should have knowledge of government, commercial, HMO, PPO and other types of insurance billing guidelines, but are willing to train the right candidate.
​
• Monitor all past due accounts and the collection process.
​
• Handle all aspects of facility accounts receivable.
​
• Process timely postings with all medical remits.
​
• Research all discrepancies and insurance company memos
​
• Good organizational skills.
