Position Summary
Dakota Regional Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our clinical laboratory team. The MLT will perform routine laboratory testing and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and blood bank.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
• Accurately record, analyze, and report laboratory test results.
• Ensure quality control procedures are followed and documented.
• Maintain laboratory safety standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with specimen collection, processing, and handling.
• Communicate critical results to appropriate healthcare personnel.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.

Qualifications
• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
• Certification as MLT (ASCP) or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and testing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
